Privacy Policy
This policy explains how KIKS SPORTS ("KIKS", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use the KIKS SPORTS mobile app and websites (the "Service"). If you have questions, contact us at support@kiks.app.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account: name, email address, phone number, country and your password (passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored by us in readable form).
- Player profile: photo, sports and positions, level, city, age or date of birth, height and other details you choose to add, plus a KIKS Personal ID we generate.
- Junior athlete profiles (ages 6–16), created by a parent or guardian: the child's name, date of birth, photo, sports and Personal ID — see section 6.
- Facility, academy and organizer information: business name, description, photos and videos, sports, prices, opening hours, address and map location, phone, WhatsApp, email, website and social media links, and registration documents you upload for verification.
- Content: posts, reels, photos, comments, forum discussions and replies, ratings and reviews, and messages you send through features of the Service.
- Bookings and matches: facility bookings (date, time, duration, status), match and tournament participation, teams, results and statistics, academy registrations.
Information collected automatically
- Location: if you allow it, your device location, used to show nearby facilities, academies, players and matches and for maps and directions. You can turn location access off in your device settings.
- Activity History: actions you take in the app (for example signing in, opening a facility page, tapping Call or Directions, creating a booking). This record is shown to you in Activity History and is kept for 12 months. A tap on Call, WhatsApp or Email records only the tap — we do not know whether a call or message took place.
- Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, language, notification tokens and technical logs needed to run, secure and improve the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and provide the Service.
- To connect players, teams, organizers, facilities and academies — for example bookings, match invitations, registrations and ratings.
- To show content and places relevant to you, such as those in your selected country or near you.
- To send notifications about bookings, matches, registrations, messages and account activity (you can manage these in the app's notification settings).
- To keep the Service safe: verify accounts and venues, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our terms and respond to reports.
- To maintain, analyse and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. What others can see
- Your public profile (name, photo, sports, Personal ID if you share it) and content you publish can be seen by other users.
- Facility owners and match organizers see the details needed to manage your booking or participation.
- Academies see the basic profile of juniors registered with them; they never see a junior's activity.
- Your Activity History is private to you (and, for a junior, to their guardian).
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only:
- With other users as described in section 3.
- With service providers that operate the Service for us, mainly Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions, push notifications and hosting) and Google Maps. They process data on our instructions.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, KIKS or others.
- With your consent or at your direction (for example when you share a profile link).
5. Data retention
- Account and profile data are kept while your account is active.
- Activity History records are deleted automatically after 12 months.
- When you delete your account, your account data, profile and Activity History are deleted from our active systems. Some records may be kept where the law requires it or to resolve disputes and prevent abuse, and copies in backups are removed on their normal cycle.
6. Children and junior athletes
- Junior athlete profiles (ages 6–16) are created and managed by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the information provided.
- A junior can sign in on their own device only after their guardian approves it, and only within the permissions the guardian sets (for example posting, comments, bookings or academy registration).
- Academy registrations of a junior require the guardian's consent.
- The guardian can see the junior's activity and requests, change permissions, suspend access, delete the junior's content and request deletion of the profile.
- From age 17, a junior can take over their own profile with the guardian's approval.
- If you believe a child's data was provided without a guardian's permission, contact support@kiks.app and we will act promptly.
7. Security
We protect data with access controls, encrypted connections and security rules that limit who can read or change each record. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password safe and tell us about any suspected misuse.
8. International transfers
Our service providers may store and process data in countries other than yours. Where this happens we rely on their safeguards to protect your data.
9. Your rights
You can access, correct and delete your data, get a copy of it, and object to or limit some uses. See Your data rights for how to make a request.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
